Has anyone had issues with backing off of Mepron?
I was looking to go "every other day" with my abx as I have had an allergic reaction to septra(which I stopped taking immediately).
My LLMD suggested this.
I was taking it with Zithro. Last tsp of Mepron was yesterday morning, and I am feeling symptoms come back already. Vibrations...joint pain...gastro issues...ESPECIALLY after eating lunch today (chicken wrap - no pasta/gluten).
After lunch I decided to go ahead and take my Zithro pill.
any thoughts?

Bill, I would throw artemisinin into the mix. Take 3 [100mg] capsules per-day. It works well with the zith/mep, even if your pulsing the mep. Art is used for malaria and is effective against babs as well.

Hi Bill Like Np says the Artemisinin is Very Important to Take-- You Need to get some-- online $15 amonth
Relaps after stopping mepron is common--Minium treatment time is 6 months with Zero breaks in meds---
I ran out of mepron after 5 bottles and the babs came right Back---2 Days
Luckily I was told about taking Bactrim Ds 800/160 for babs--2 aday
I got some and I herxed 3 weeks the Bactrim has Hammered the bugs perty hard and I feel the best I have felt in 20 yrs-- 5 weeks of Bactrim so far--
Bactrim is Dirt cheap--- about $30 a month--
The generic is good but the Name brand (Roche) is 5X stronger--
Try it you will like it--Jay--
