I've posted about this before, and I'm wondering what other people's experience with this symptom are?
My hands turn blue - deep purplish blue - in the cold. Typically, there is also a little pink splotching. It's very noticeable and freaks me out. Does anyone else experience this symptom?
Another thing I notice is, different parts of my body, when you put pressure on them, have a tendency to blotch and turn a bright reddish color, and the blotch doesn't go away for some time after removing the pressure...I know sometimes this sort of thing can be normal, but what I experience IS NOT normal. the skin blotches easily, and the blotch sticks around for an unusually long period of time.
questions? comments? similar experiences?

Part of my fingers and toes turn yellow in the cold. Sometimes it happens when it isn't really cold, just parts of me get cold.
Periodically the palms of my hands get splotchy either red & white or red & yellow. hatsnscarfs (ngloves!)

Reynaud's syndrome? (could be grossly misspelling that, sorry!)

Sounds like Raynauds. My hands will change from normal to a dusky purple and stay cold until I can run them under hot water. Sometimes my palms get a splotchy red & white pattern to them.
Whatever I have effects my nose, lips and ears too, except my nose and ears don't turn purple. They just get red and hot. My lips turn blue when I eat ice cream or popcicles. Not very attractive!

But I don't think it's reynaud's exactly...it's similar, yes, but I'm not sure it's the same thing...it only manifests on the backs of my hands, to my wrists...no where else...{at least the purplish coloring}...my palms are splotchy as you describe yours...but they stay a reddish color...also, the discoloration goes away fairly quickly once I'm in warm air.
I do have a problem with icy feet, even indoors, but they don't turn blue.

Aligondo what is going on i believe is a circulation problem due to your infection. I forgot the medical word for it. It's a pretty good way to determine how sick you really are. In room temp my hands now have pink with some red blotches. As I press down on the side palm (under the pinky) it quickly comes back to that color. Now lets go back in time at my worst. At room temp I had purple and deep red palms. As I pushed down on them they turned white and remained that way for about 3-4 seconds. My LLMD stated they looked like the hands of someone who has recently deceased. o the laughs we had! Anyhoo that was room temp. Cold temp makes the "problem" more noticeable.

I noticed a persistent reddish patch after pressure on my thigh, just above knee first part of summer. By the end of summer, in that place was a dent, diagnosed by doc as muscle wasting. Don't want to scare you, maybe yours aren't the same thing at all.
