My vision was so bad I can't use the computer and driving is becoming a problem so I went to my eye doctor. He said the eye itself is fine, nerves all ok, however, I am having problems with dryness. Here's what he wrote down for me.
1. use a hot compress, as hot as you can stand, and lay on eyes until the compress cools. wipe the bottom and top of eye gently. this stimulates the glands and keeps them open.
2. Optiva eye drops (this is a prescription), 2 times a day (will help with any allergies which affect the eye too).
3. Systaine eye drops - 6-8 times a day
4. Refresh Liquigel - 3-4 times a day.
You can use either the systaine or refresh (only one is more oilyer than the other).
I have to go back in 2 weeks to see how things are going.
Hope this helps someone will eye problems.
Oh, p.s., he saw no evidence of lyme in my eyes.

Hopefully the diagnoses of dry eyes is correct and your Drs tips will help. I'm curious what type doc you saw for your eyes?
My eyes got very blurry about 4 years ago and my eye doc said all was well, I just had dry eyes.
Long story short, I eventually was referred to a corneal specialist and they discovered I had Uveitis (inflamation of the cornea possibly caused by lyme). Uveitis is the 2nd leading cause of blindness but can be treated.
I certainly don't mean to alarm you, but your eyes are very important and I hope you are seeing the right doc.

he's an opthamologist (forgive spelling). he has 2-3 other lyme patients so i'm assuming (and you know what they say about that (LOL), that he knows something about lyme.
