I have a question about Dr. B's Diagnostic Hints document.

http://www.ilads.org/files/burrascano_0905.pdf

On page 3, he states "To be said to have chronic LB, these three criteria must be present"
This is the one that I'm wondering about:
2. Have persistant neurologic involvement (such as encephalitis/encephalopathy, meninigitis, etc. or active arthritic manifestations (active synovitis).

Do LLMD's typically test for this criteria? What types of tests would be used to determine if one has #2? What kinds of symptoms are present with these conditions?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Terry

Terry, read and print this one; it explains encephalogy. I gave to my LLMD; he then diagnosed me with this too!

Betty

What a great study to bookmark. I had so many of these symptoms within two months of my tick bite.....and my son did, too.

For my son who has had the illness for many years these symptoms came later.... years later.... in his undiagnosed illness.

headaches, twitching, abnormal skin sensations, visual problems, weakness, hearing issues, etc...I would say those are all neurological....and most of those probably don't require a test to check for.
