Hi all.

I have a couple of questions. My hubby and I moved to Colorado a few months ago to be near our LLMD. Hubby got a good job and what we thought was a good health plan.

10 days after moving here we found out that I am pregnant. I'm on Rocephin and my llmd thinks that this is a good way to carry our the pregnancy.

I just found out today that our health insurance is not going to cover my rocephine. (Anyone else have a problem with Untited Health Care?).

So here is my question...for those of you who have had healthy pregnancies what abx did you take? Why did your llmd choose that abx? I'm pretty worried because I miscarried early in my first pregnancy and I really felt like the rocephin was giving us a fighting chance.

Thank you ahead of time for any advice and help you can give me! (positive stories help too:)
Naomi

Your husband can SUE on the babies behalf. It is not just your life...there is a baby involved. DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!!!

The doctor can threaten the insurance company with admitting you for the rest of your pregnancy. Suddenly after that threat by the doctor treating me I got everything I needed.

I had Aetna and they paid.

My doctor when pregnant wasn't a LLMD but a chief of staff ID at a huge area hospital who I was sent to by my OB/GYN. That doctor had the clout to fight for me.

Naomi,

Hey, I have UHC and they paid for my iv rocephin no problem and no questions. I pray that they will continue, especially with the baby. You have to have them fight the insurance company for you or like someone said.....have you in the hospital. They don't want to have to pay that bill...I am sure they would rather pay for the iv.

I will be praying for your baby and CONGRATUATIONS!!!God doesn't make mistakes....he has a special purpose for you and for you little baby that you are having.

In Him,

Janjan [hi]

Hi all [Smile]

I have a phone consultations with Dr. Jones in just a few minutes so I am going to see what he says about my medication....if he wants me to stay on the Rocephin then I will try some of your suggestions!

Thank you so much for your help and your kind responses!
Naomi
