ME! Mine disappeared during treatment for babs. At the same time, I began taking a beta blocker for tachycardia.
So, either the atenolol did it, or the babs treatment. I get one every now and then, but NOTHING like the headaches I had for YEARS [about 35yrs] prior!
I also began taking CoQ10 soon after beginning the beta blocker since that is recommended. I recently read that CoQ10 also helps migraines.
So....I'm HAPPY!

I have had a dcrease in the number of migraines and also a decrease in the intensity of the worst ones. I have not been to ER for a migraine in 9 months!
Before treatment, I went every other month. This in spite of having many hardcore migraine meds and narcotics at my disposal.
Have really had a decrease in chronic daily headaches and neck/shoulder pain, almost gone except during periods.

Me! After being treated for babs, also.
I only had migraines as a teen with onset of menses. Now they have come back during perimenopause. Usually get one 2 days before a period, but can stop it in the early stage with a single Excedrin.
But when "Lymey," I was getting them once a week, more severe, with a headachy feeling for many days in between. No fun.

I took only clindamycin/quinine for the babs, and artemisinin later. The headaches went away after the clindy/Q.
The herx was terrible, but I don't remember having a migraine-type herx...?? I had migraines every DAY during my last year of teaching elementary school!
Of course, I was very ill and didn't know I had Lyme/babs......and my class was NOT a good one!!

Six weeks on Mepron/Zithromax. Herx on the 4th day, MAJOR herx on the 4th week. (Fatigue/flu put me in bed for about 2 days.) Two days after stopping, brightened big time, and continued to recover over the next couple of months.
I wasn't even convinced that I'd HAD babesia. I'm pretty convinced now!

I had my longest migraine-free vacation, lasting about six weeks, from November till the end of December.
However, I got a beastly one in January that lasted a month. And to think I was all ready to pronounce myself "cured!"
It was then I learned that I could not take my "rescue" med (Relpax) because it posed a severe drug interaction with Biaxin XL. Since nuthin else will touch the headache, we stopped the Biaxin.
I will say that six weeks was a record for me to go without a migraine, so I'm still thinking I'm making progress. Maybe next time I'll go MONTHS without a headache.
I had a nonstop migraine for approximately two years before being diagnosed, so I know what you mean. The certainty that I had a brain tumour drove me from duck to duck until I got an MRI which led me to being diagnosed. You will nearly be in shock when your head stops hurting, life will get so good. Hang in there, it WILL end. Get some trials of any med that will help in the meantime.
You're still quite early in treatment and it may take a bit more time -- for me it took approximately six months and a round of Flagyl to begin to see relief from Bad Head Days.

With my first round of Atovaquone the regular and totally incapacitating head pain/migraines I used to get are rare nowadays.
I still get headaches, but not as severe and not as often.

Mine. I had absolutely, positively the worst migraines of my life. They were unrelenting, nothing helped and so bad, I had to "tiptoe" around my own home. Five months of treatment put those in the past and they havent come back. I am still in treatment for other symptoms though, mainly orthostatic hypotension ( which does cause me migraines) but NOTHING like what I had.. these are just babies.

During IV rocephin for 5 weeks NO HEADACHE from h---!!! Then just one night I woke up in severe pain but my visiting nurse said it was probably just a fall off of leftover bugs, I hope so, no problem since and have 3 more weeks on Rocephin. So good luck there is a light at end of tunnel!!!!

My daughter tested NEG for babs with Dr. J but had all the symptoms ...migrians, night sweats etc.
We put her on mepron based on her relentless symptoms and they have now been gone several months (6 i think) She has been off Mepron now for a few months and is still doing great.
Her herx with the Mep was harsh. She had flu like feelings, MAJOR vertigo and achieness in joints.
Lasted about 3 weeks or so.

Migraines, brain fog and shortterm memory loss were the first to go when I began treating lyme with homeopathy.
Unfortunately, in their place, came Lyme arthritis. Bad arthritis! When Rheumatoid Arthritis was diagnosed 6 mths later, I abandoned the homeopathy and am now on a low dose abx protocol for RA. I do believe lyme is the culprit behind the RA and I am still seeking treatment for it.
But I remain migraine free.
