Since the beginning I have had nerve pain everywhere incluing a deep painful ear pain (not ache)in both ears. I read that there are nerves leading up the ears and wonder if it is nerve pain.

It makes me want to walk around with my fingers in my ears it hurts so bad at times. When I herx it is intolerable.

I have viruses too - is this LD, co-infection or viral related? Anyone else with DEEP ear pain?

This is one of my top 3 symptoms.

DEEP DEEP NERVE EAR PAIN,MOSTLY ON THE LEFT SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I have HSV-1 and HSV-2 and Babs. Suspected Bart.

Do you have Bart?

Have you treated for Bart?

They found staph in the ears over a month ago.

Was on a series of orals and now the cultures are coming back clean.

My ears actually started bleeding for quite some time.

Now they hurt so bad I take oxycotin to knock out the pain.

I hope this goes away soon.

Yours too.

Jen

Good Luck

Yes, this is a symptom of mine as well. It is awful - I'm sorry to hear you are having it!

Treat the pain at all costs. It's unbearable to live with chronic pain.

Somehow, whatever the infectious source, it deeply affects the cranial nerves with some of us - causing a meningites like pain syndrome - painful eyes, ears, horrendous head and neck pain, with tight, hypertonic muscles.

Have you been checked for an ear infection?

Some times the sinuses cause that tube in the ear go get infected. Happened to me last week. Pain deep in the ear and in the head, behind the ear.

Maybe the inflamation is pushing on a nerve.

Take care, Hope you feel better soon.

Yes, along with her horrible head ache, my daughter complains about how bad her ears hurt her.

No infection, she has been checked besides, how do you get ear infections when you are on massive amounts of antibiotics?

I guess anything is possible with this not so stupid disease. It amazes me how it can change and the things it causes.

I agree, do what you have to do to ease that pain and worry about that part of it later when you don't hurt so bad.

HUGS,

No ear infections - definitely must be related to LD or Bart or HSV-1.

Yeah, I have had Bart, supposidly cleared and gone. Hmmm..... Interestingly my son had staph and Ld, Doxy cured him like a miracle in about 2 months.

I have had extremely hard time trying to get on Doxy (probably because it crosses the CNS) causes dizziness and nightmares that are unbearable, now i know I must get on Doxy, because Doxy kills staph, some strains of Bart, Lyme , Ehrlichia, Brucella, Q fever and the list goes on an on.

Staph may be part of my problem too.

I have nerve pain literally scalp to feet all over my body. It has subsided some with 19 months of treatment, but the viruses make treating LD at high doses much harder. I have several viral issues, including HSV 1 which "hangs out" in the upper neck area on the nerves.

Wow...interesting.

Thanks everyone.
