I just wanted to add whatever I know about this.
I don't have babesia, but my brother does. He's taking mepron and also he's doing iv zithromax.

I'm not sure if this is the best, but I know that mepron has helped him somewhat. Now, that he's added the zithro, we'll see.

Others probably have more experience and knowledge on this.

Be well,

I don't know much except my own experience.

I did ketek on its own and it was way too powerful for me to handle and I was never sure if it was side effect of the medicine or if it was herx or both.

Now I am doing zithromax and mepron and I actually believe it is working.

Ketek, no contest. Don't feel sorry for zith, it will go on to save many other people.

Be prepared try other treatments besides mepron, like quinine or even lariam. Definitely add in artemisinin. If you are ready or interested in primaquine, it still couldn't hurt to have a stash ready, in case you fall into a relapse and decide you've had it up to here with relapsing.
