I started taking oil of oregono and have been taking auxidiphilus but today i woke up and did the thrush test (spit in glass of water and saw tenticles coming off the spit) it was not pretty.

What else can be done for thrush? Do i need a diflucan or anti fungal meds?

Also good news is i got an appointment with Dr. SH, I am psyched, I am finally gonna fight this sickness with a real Lyme Doctor. Thanks people.

-Luke

I am gonna win this fight.

YEA LUKE! A real LLMD!!

Nystatin is a good one for thrush. I wouldn't suggest the liquid as it contains sugar....go figure!!

The powder would be best, but I'll warn you that it's rather nasty.

Then there's Mycelex lozenges. I used those one time. I didn't have a bad case of thrush though. The lozenges were very tolerable.

I take Nystatin pills all the time. They are very benign. May not work for you now, but should keep things under control once you get rid of the thrush.

I've heard of the bleach remedy, but you have to dilute it.......and I don't know the formula.

hope someone comes along soon with another idea

I take nystatin, probiotics and garlic. So far so good. A low sugar diet helps as well. I have heard of people taking threelac and also diflucan.

Glad you got a new doc, when is the new appt?

I take caprylic acid (good for yeast and fungus), Primal Defense (probiotics) and rinse with either Listerine or peroxide mixed with water (per my llmd).

Seems to be working pretty well.

Appointment is April 20th all the way in the middle of no where, gonna have to take the day off but it will be worth it to me. Finally I might get some answers.

Its tough not having a doctor believe you are sick. watching muscles fade on you, back pain, twitching, fatigue. Anyway I am pysched for the 20th. Follow up appointments will be closer at least. [Smile]

Thanks.

For a temp fix you could try putting a little perioxide on your toothbrush and brush your tongue with it.

let it sit on there a moment and then swish.

Do not swallow any of the peroxide.

After every mouth wash or peroxide open a capsule of aphopdophilis and sprinkle on your tongue.

Thrush (yeast) loves a vacant field - and thats what happened when you use mouthwash or peroxide. Kills the good & bad flora.

Please talk to your LLMD before doing anything you may read on this post

hope you feel better soon [Smile]

Luke- Im so glad you were able to get an appt...the 20th isnt too far away at all!!!

Is your tongue white? Im a bit confused as you said you did the spit test for yeast, so wasnt sure if you had thrush on your tongue.

Olive leaf extract works pretty good on yeast too, but you may herx with this so start off with a low dose.

As always run everything by your LLMD first.

Yeah I brush off my tongue every morning because i sleep with my mouth open. They said the test was to spit in to a glass of water early in the morning and in 1 hour if there are tenticles coming down from your spit you have problem with candida.

Thats true right? I will buy some olive oil extraxt asap. thanks for the advice.
