So, i kept my appt with the holistic dr. im not going to mention any names, but this dr was filling in for his father.....ugh.

He took my blood pressure and it was really low...80/60....i wonder if i am herxing?

I made this appt so i could get my possible systemic yeast tested as well as food allergies. They say they treat systmic yeast.......the dr says he doesnt believe in it...YIKES.

he took blood......my bad mistake i let him. Hes doing general labs and a tick born panel. I told him i already had this done...but he wouldnt hear it. My hand is still numb...and my vein will probably take months to heal. this NEVER happens when my llmd takes blood.......its really bad.

he said somethings that just werent lyme literate, yet they treat lyme. and had an ILADS certificate. I do believe his father is more knowledgable though.

So, i ended up with a sore vein and none of my issues addressed. He said to see a GI duck about my digestion/allergy problems.

he was concerned about my weight and diet.

Sorry to hear about this; they should have given YOU the option of cancelling appt.

Take a digital or poloroid of your damaged vein if it shows up; note date, time, & any witnesses to this.

I'd contact his Dad for a FREEBIE session since your needs were NOT taken care of to your satisfaction. Best wishes.

My blood pressure is always too high (LLMD blames neuroborreliosis) so I don't know much about low blood pressure.

This sounds simplistic, but could you be dehydrated? And maybe it's an adrenal issue, so try something salty, too, maybe.

Sure hope the numbness resoves. I've had that from getting blood drawn, it felt like I'd hit my crazy bone.

This duck sounds a little incompetent. [Razz] What a bad experience. Hope you never have to see him again!

So sorry about the duck!

I had neurally mediated hypotension during herxes. In fact, my blood pressure is low now. My LLMD recommended that I take salt pills and drink lots of water and that has helped me in the past. To give you an idea of quantity, she gave me some expired gel caps filled with salt. (We laughed about salt expiring!) I took one with every meal and drank lots of water.

I'd also call an LLMD's office so they can monitor you. My LLMD saw me on a Friday and told me to go to the ER if it happened over the weekend. I ended up in the ER.

Back then these episodes were really scary because I'd have to lie or kneel down or else I'd feel like I'd pass out. Even though my blood pressure is just as low now, I don't feel like I'll pass out.

Take care!
D

I have low blood pressure too. I agree, salt (sea salt is best because it is whole salt) and lots of pure water. Stay out of the heat and stay down with your feet up if you start to feel dizzy.

Hot showers or baths can make it worse. If you decide to take a hot shower, finishing it with a cooler temperature of water can help.
I sit down after a shower or bath to dry my hair with a hair dryer because the heat from the dryer can make me very tired when my blood pressure is causing me problems. Heat dialates blood vessels/capillaries which in turn can dump your blood pressure.

Anxiety and depression can also be symptoms with low blood pressure so it's helpful to get it under control if you can.

There is medication you can take to increase your blood pressure called florinef (it expands the blood volume) but it is a steroid and I personally wouldn't take it for that reason.

I think toxicity exacerbates a low blood pressure so you should consider detoxing. Yeast infection can make blood pressure issues worse.

Previous to finding out that I had a postive IGeneX test for lyme I was told I had fibromyalgia. I have been on the guaifenesin protocol for years for that and I found that my low blood pressure stopped being much of a problem after the first year on the protocol. I don't know why other than I think some sort of toxin may be removed from the body. One can have some very intense herx like reactions on the protocol.

Personally, I'd consider writing a note to ILADS if the doctor has a certificate from them but is obviously not lyme literate. Let them sort it out. It may keep others from wasting their time and money in seeing a doctor who is supposed to be literate but is not.

yes, its like my crazy bone was hit......it hurts still and ive been miserable all day and tired. Im drinking more water today......and have had more salt as well.

I have low temps too.....

Im going to write to ILADS once i get my right arm back.......thing is i wasnt there for lyme :-( thats how bad all this is.

I have a great LLMD.

So far the vein looks good but hurts more towards my elbow...and when i type my fingers feel funny.

The low BP might explain why ive felt dizzy in the shower this week.....i will ask my LLMD next month at my appt. BP was taken from my left arm sitting down. My llmd usually takes from my right......although im not sure what it usually is.

I just want my right arm back......sigh.
