Geniveve,

For what it is worth, hubby has so much heat radiating from his head that I swear we could cook dinner on the top of his head!

I have no idea what it means, but it is going to be a very long, hot summer with that head!

He has tested + for babs, erlichia and lyme. Also treated bart, but still very sick after almost 3 years.

Maybe if we can cool his head down, he will get better. 90% of his sx are neuro.

Sure wish someone would study this disease soon.

Good luck

Wizard

Yes. It's been very strange because even tho my neck and head are very warm like I have a fever, my body temp is low....usually around 95*. I think that it is more of a Bart Sx because I had more improvement with it when I was concentrating on Bart. My torso and legs will also get warm, but not as hot as the neck and head. Who Knows? The docs don't even seem to agree on much.

Come to think of it, the back of my neck used to feel hot and felt prickly and itchy frequently before I started treatment. I never even thought about it or put it together until I read this post.

yes Ive gotten this before alot.

Burning up neck, the body is cold though.

Lyme likes below normal body temperatures, the heat from the neck comes from the sub-cutanious inflamation.

I also get where my face gets really hot.

My neck would get really hot and stiff. The bones behind my ears would ache.

I stopped going to the massage therapist because he was sure my symptoms were emotional! "You own this heat, and you have to release it." BS, I thought. This was early 2005, before I figured out that I had Lyme.

Maybe this is what Lyme menigitis feels like. Along with the headache.
