Hubby came home from the car wash today and told me there had been a little excitement. He was actually vacuuming the car.

Some kids were playing in the drainage ditch behind the car wash and a little boy age 4 got bitten by a copperhead snake. At least hubby thought it looked like a copperhead when he went running when the kid yelled.

The kid had 2 sets of fang marks and was bleeding. Hubby called the rescue squad and sent the mom and kid to an urgent care facility which was just up the street about 100 yards away. The rescue squad showed up within 10 minutes before hubby was thru vacuuming the car. We assume they transported the kid to the local hospital.

And then tonight when hubby was getting ready for bed he had me look at a spot near his belly button. He had a tick on him. I think it was a dog tick but am not sure. He has never ever had a known tickbite. At least the tick was not engorged. I removed the tick with tweezers and put it in a ziplock bag where it is crawling around.

And today is day 36 for hubby off all antibiotics. He was scheduled to start his LDN tonight and is supposed to take that a week or so before doing an antibiotic challenge test in conjunction with lots of testing. Not sure yet whether I am going to start hubby back on doxy right away or maybe do some tests on Monday and them start him back on meds.

So so so frustrating.
