Heat pads cause me to herx "grande" every time I use them.
But when I was hit by a truck walking my dog 8 years ago I was left in the road missing some fingers (and more).
The attending ortho said casually "well, we'll just have to take them all the way off".
To which I said (luckily awake) "you're off the job".
They found a hand surgeon who did a fine job reatatching my r two main fingers and stitching my hand back together. I used heat pads every nite to thin the blood and they healed (nerves too) quickly. I also could not tolerate pain meds and the heat took the pain away in about 10 days.
Now the hand is where the Bb has weakened me alot. Now that my bacteria load is hopefully coming down it may be time to get cooking again.
I did try some heat on my very weak legs a month ago and it actually weakened them further.
I would take a truck to a tick.
