I do remember herxing and having horrid bladder problems and bladder spasms that were very painful. I felt the urge to go constantly and yet could only produce a few painful drops at a time.
Sorry I can't remember which abx I was on at the time. I did take Mepron for quite a while for babs.
I am not a doctor...but it seems as though you ought to be on abx, especially if this did not occur before you went off the abx.
I did complain to LLMD...he said this does happen and to hang in there. I did....and it went away. It was not fun and I surely sympathize.
I drank lots of water with fresh squeezed lemon in it.
At least call your LLMD...let him make the call about abx?

thanks Nan,
i had what you described that lasted months...it was a nightmare.
Im starting cipro today that they gyn/uro gave me. i was on it last month too and it did help. This is a different brand though..so we shall see.
i was off abx because i was treating a bad yeast infection that was resistant to diflucan....im pretty sure i still have that too.
My bladder is the main TBD symtom......that and wieght loss.

Hey cantgiveup
Is He treating you for babs? And why just the art? Is your LLMD going to pulse in other drugs with the art?
Weight loss is a symptom of babs. I didn't have any bladder problems. But did have alot of sweating.
Hope you feel better soon
Take care dana

im on art just to see if i react to it, since im off abx for the stupid yeast that i cannot get rid of no matter what i do.
im not sure of the whole plan....i guess it will depend on the results of my hydro/cysto surgery next week and what the uro finds.
Im on cipro for 3 days because of white blood cells in the urine. it helped me last month when i took it.
ive lost even more wieght the last few days.

Hey cantgiveup
Goodluck with your surgury next week.
Re: ask your doc about possible resistant strain of yeast. Sometimes yeast can become resistant to the diflucan.
But there are alot of other anti-yeast meds like sporanox or nizoral.
Take care and hang in there
ps Do you like almond butter? It can help pack on the pounds

5 months into babesia treatment and my bladder is no longer bothering me. It was never a constant symptom, but this has been the longest stretch of time without a flare up. I have to admit, I wouldn't have made the connection without this post.
Lots of symptoms I didn't even know were babs are clearing with treatment. Symptoms like arthritis, GI problems, low libido, bells palsy, cognitive function just to name a few.
So it seems babesia can infect us anywhere. I still have lymph node pain that comes and goes however.
Sending all wishes for ever increasing and sustained health.
