Hi, everybody,
Recently, I wake up around 5 am with racing heart and weakness and a sense of air hunger(not serious), can't fall asleep after that.
I was on Ketek 800mg per day for 15 days before IV Rocephin 4g per day, which has been done first round (4 days)and was on Tini 750mg BID for 2 days, then one day rest.
I don't think this is a Herxm cause it's been for half month.
My other Lyme symptoms seem subsiding, so I assume that abx is working against Bbs.
I strongly think that Bbs might inhibit Babs.
With weakening of Bbs, Babs would raising their ugly heads.
Now I am on the crossroad... continue IV Rocephin or treating Babs first or adding Arte. to IV Rocephin?
I have to go back to work in 2 months or so.
Waiting for your help...
Thank you very much in advance.

I think there are a lot of LLMDs don't believe you can get better til coinfections are treated first or at the same time...especially babesia. I would talk to your doc about this and potentially treating both at the same time.
Best Wishes!

I agree with jwenny... see if your dr will add some kind of babs treatment
I know someone who was treated for lyme for 10 years - she didnt get all the way better until her babs was addressed thought.
- just my opinion and what I would do in ur shoes.

Dave, often doc's will treat to get the lyme load down initially then go after the babs. The herx's are much less severe.
You stated that you've done short courses of ketek, tini and IV rocephin so I'm assuming your not quite ready for the babs treatment yet. Though you return to work in two months I'd seriously doubt you'll be done with treatment by then.
Babs is notorious for the heart stuff so at some point it should be treated but I doubt seriously it's something you can rush into. Slow and steady wins this game.
