NOt sure but think it might be a better idea to picket at the Infectious Disease Drs conference..As opposed to doing one at a lyme literate conference.. lymemomtooo

Hmm, infectious disease conference would look at us like crazies, rebels and mock us.
If we support the Lyme Foundation, it might get media coverage from the inside and outside.
I could be wrong, of course.

tothepoorhouse - i was thinking the same exact thing about the conference in Philly.
Was this open to the public last year, i thought i remembered a few on here went to it? I joined last October, so i was very sick...but i thought i remember posts about it.
I dont think we want to look like loons going up against the ID ducks....but supporting our cause i think is a good idea.

Some folks went to the LDA (lyme disease association) portion of the conference that was one day PRIOR to the medical one last year.
The best it seems you can do is get your LLMD to attend and give you relevant feedback. Mine did this from CA.
Or I THINK that they MIGHT allow a few support group leaders or LDA affiliates to attend?????

My point was really at the LDA and ILADS, you are preaching to the choir..It would not be a big scene..
But at the opposing camp, it would be a very worrisome event for them..They might even sweat..They might be afraid of someone with chronic lyme having a rage against them.
And just maybe it would be an opportunity to educate some of them. Force them to confront chronic lyme head on.

We have to do something! We should rally at IDSA, good idea!

Went to their website and unfortunately IDSA has only annual meetings -- the 44th Annual Meeting is October 12 - October 15,2006 in Toronto, Canada.
Their headquarters is in Alexandria, Virginia.

Now I could do Alexandria, as long as it's not on a hot day!
