I've been getting mine at CostCo for almost three years, now they can't supply it. Walgreens can't either. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you find a source? A local independent pharmacy is trying to order it and I will know by tomorrow, they say.

They probably just stoped stocking it. Might be a temporary thing. Costco sometimes has things, and then next thing you know, they don't carry it anymore. I get mine from McGuff 877-444-1133 in So Calif.

Thanks, porsche. Do they sell directly to the public? I thought they are a wholesaler. Do you get the box of 25 2ml vials ore something else? Oh... and how are you doing?

They do mostly wholesale to Dr's, but they also fill Rx's for all the things that they carry to the public. So all you need is to have a script from your Dr for the mag. They will ship it to you and charge you the retail price. They do have the 2 ml vials, but I get it in the 50 ml bottle because it's cheaper. My Dr does have an account with them, but I don't think that that matters. They will call your Dr for the Rx if you need them to.
The bicillin shots are going ok. I went up to 2 a week. I don't seem to be herxing much from them. The shots themselves don't hurt anymore than B-12 shots, but that nasty bicillin liquid hurts like hell sometimes. The 4 cc's is a lot to take at once. No lumps or bruising. Just sore for 2 - 3 days afterwards. It's kind of hard to get all the foamy white stuff out of the bottle. Sometimes I only end up with 3cc's. Maybe the bottles are a little short in water sometimes. I'll have to check it closer.
I saw the picture of your house...looks good. I sure wish that I had been able to build a few homes in this great market! Instead, I am spending the equity from my last home on this damn disease and getting broker by the minute. Whah!

Thanks!
Hopefully, you will start feeling better soon. It took me about three months on Bicillin to notice ANY improvement and more than six months to feel improved with any consistncy. When I started, I could barely walk, was getting lost in three block areas, had chronic bronchitis/asthma, a headach that had been unremitting for nine months, etc... Keep me posted.

if your going to be without the injectible form for a long stretch, then use 1/8-1/4 tsp. of epsom salt(depending on the granular size) in water at room temp. with food, perhaps 3-4 times/24hr.

When you say that you could barely walk when starting bicilin, do you mean from the shots, or was this before starting shots?
Did you ask the Costco Pharmacy if they could order some mag for you? It will probably be cheaper than Mcguff.

Porsche, Before I started treatment, walking even a few steps uphill would leave me winded and headed for bed. All the symptoms I mentioned, and more, were before starting treatment. I went undiagnosed at least eleven years. CostCo had been ordering the magnesium sulfate but said they could no longer get it. I've already ordered from McGuff. It was a few dollars more but it won't break me. Thanks for the suggestion. How well does the magnesium work for you? It really helps me with twitches, fluttering sensations in my skin, and muscle cramps.

I think that the mag does help. I have been taking 2 cc's 3 x's a week in an IV push for the last year and I haven't had hardly any twitching. The only thing that bothers me about supplementing is the possibility that they are strengthening the bugs at the same time, helping them to become resistant quicker, and keeping them from being squashed completely.
Some Dr's say that they have research that shows that mag/cal and other vitamins/supplements do in fact shield them from abx and other meds. So even tho I don't have the twitching, I haven't improved either. Now if mag was the key, I would have been cured by now!

I think you could probably get it at a compounding pharmacy such as Wellness, which I believe is in NJ. Can you purchase it through your llmd?
