I skimed the NBC30 Connecticut news last night and it seems like we got 15 seconds. They made the rally seem much smaller than it was by only shooting the signs that were on their own and a few people at a time, never the group, or the speakers. I also skimmed fox news at 10 but saw nothing. Maybe this clip will show up on NBC30s website. Right now they have a bunch of useless stuff, like someone stole someone elses lawn flamingos and the police are trying to find out who (sounds pretty important to me!) And the power went out at a school because of the storms (got much more time) There was all kinds of useless junk on the news that got a lot more coverage than us.
Heres what was said on NBC30 Connecticut news: (Reporter in studio) "A group of demonstrators turned up at the state capitol today. Their cause was lyme disease" (woman holding sign at rally - "UNINFORMED Doctors ARE Fueling the Lyme Epidemic!") "They say the tick borne illness is still misdiagnosed even though its been around for more than 25 years." (Shot of woman with sign on back on the steps next to the colums Washinton State (list of names i think?). Sign on ground "PLEASE PROTECT MY LME DOCTOR - MY HERO") (Shot of lyme green sign up against a colum on the ground "HANDS OFF OUR DOCTOR") "They also object to treatment with short term antibiotics that they say can be ineffective" (Shot of cute little girl holding a lyme green sign saying "LEAVE MY Lyme Dr ALONE") This was the 6 year old from florida who spoke with the other kids about jones.
I will look into getting the clip off my tv recorder and online. Hopefully they will put it on their site and save me the effort.

I could't find anything on the web site so I emailed the station using the contact us button on the top right of the home page.
I asked if they were going to cover the rally and also if they were planning any other leatures on Lyme disease, a severe disabling illness. I said the ticks which transmit Lyme are expected to be at record levels this year because of the mild winter.
How about flooding them with emails requesting more Lyme coverage?

Check out my New Topic in General: "Rally Media Wake Up Call & Email". I'm trying to put the coverage info in one place so we can generate more calls & emails. Please help update the info. hats
