Important Information for patients / supporters attending Dr. Joseph G. Jemseks NCMB Hearing

June 14-16, Wednesday thru Friday

Not confirmed if all three days will be necessary

You must be inside the doors by 8:00 am!!! When the doors close, they will not re-open.

Armbands are waiting for you on arrival at the NCMB

Directions to the NCMB building are waiting for you on arrival at the Hotel

(This hotel is 1.31 miles from the NCMB)

Hotel accommodations are as follows:

Residence Inn
1000 Navaho Drive
Raleigh, NC
919-878-6100

These are all suite rooms with Full Kitchens (will hold as many as you want to squeeze inJ) Just ask when calling the hotel.

They offer a full hot breakfast beginning at 6:30 am (with continental offerings as well)

******Dinner is offered from 5:30 7 PM nightly (Mon.-Thurs.)******

Mention Jemsek Group Rate when calling Residence Inn

The discounted rate is $99.00 plus tax (keep in mind the meals offered!) This was the best deal I could find! The Hampton Inn was $79 without amenities and 15 miles away!

I have blocked 30 rooms, they will add more if necessary

Regular rate is $129.00

We would like an accurate head count of attendees, if you have not already called the clinic, please do so to be counted. Due to the amount of calls and support, please leave a message on voice mail, 704.237.5836

Thanks to you all!

See you in Raleigh,

Brooke Cerwonka

LOL, you are right! Glad you also posted Beth's part, as I was going to come back and post that. Think I will anyway so it will be on both threads.

Hello Everyone,

The NCLDF would like to give you an update for Dr. Jemsek's hearing now that more information is available. It will be June 14th, 15th and possibly 16th. The most important day for you to be there is the 14th.

First ,it is important that everyone dress professionally for this event. We are requesting that there be no signs, no protests and no civil disobedience of any kind. This type of activity will only hurt Dr. Jemseks' case with the medical board.

Second the NCLDF will provide green armbands for everyone to wear on their left arm. A quiet show of support has been shown to be the most beneficial in these types of cases.

Third, it is very important that everyone understand how very critical your presence is at this event. A large number of people at this event could very easily sway the Medical Board in favor of Dr. Jemsek.

If we lose Dr. Jemsek , the lyme community will lose important ground. The message will be sent to doctors all over the country that if the medical board can revoke the license of a well known and highly reputable infectious disease doctor ,then they can do this to any other doctor. None of our doctors will be safe at that point.

I am appealing to all of you to please find a way to make this event more important than anything else right now. We really need you. Dr. Jemsek has been there for you and he needs you to be there for him.

Thank-you for your patience with this matter and for your help,

Sincerely,
Beth Jordan, DVM

If you can drive safely, why not jump into your car and show up in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the remainder of Dr. Jemsek's hearings? No doubt some of the attendees can not stay the full three days, and you could take the place of someone who needs to leave early.

Or take the bus, train, etc. Cultivate resourcefulness! Lyme patients need all the resourcefulness they can muster!

Get thee to Raleigh!
