I sometimes have night sweats but they are not really bad. I just wakeup sometimes (rarely) during the night and I am sweating(lightly) and dont feel good. It takes me a while to get back to sleep. I also sweat lightly during the day sometimes...

Just releasing toxins from lyme or is it babesia?

When I had babs, I would wake up totally drenched. My nightclothes, my hair, etc. were totally wet. I would have puddles on my chest. The bed and the pillow were wet where I was lying.

After babs treatment I had lighter sweats ... I'd wake up hot and sweating, but nothing so dramatic. When bart was treated those went away.

Hi Byron --

My night sweats started about 5 yrs
after being bit --

At its worst I would soak at least
2 tee shirts -and shorts -

I had to have a washed pillow
every night because it would be drinched -

I also sweated more than other people -
doing work ect -

Pour sweat off my head --drip

Babs Caused my Sweats --
most likely yours too --

With treatment the sweats have stopped
for me --

Do you have any other Babs symptoms ?? -

--Jay--

My night sweats vary from being moist to

Being able to wipe sweat off with my hands from my chest. [Eek!]

Mine come and go. I also sweat more during the day or I am more cold than everyone else.

This despite two rounds of babs treatment.

Hugs,

Geneal

I am like geneal. I have heavy and light night sweats. When I didn't have a diagnosis and was taking steroids for my "bronchitis" I would sweat up a storm. Now my night sweats aren't as dramatic.

I don't sleep with the heater on (I live in santa monica) but I usually throw the blankets off at some point in the night. Even though the nights get down into the 50's I still wake with no blankets and a light sweat.

I don't break into a sweat every night, but when I do I don't feel that I got a very good night of sleep.

My night sweats are usually quite drenching. If I get up to go to the bathroom I have to change my pjs. The sheets need to be changed every day, blankets, etc.

I often awaken as sweat is dripping down my face and it tickles and wakes me up. Then I can't go back to sleep because it is a constant, running down my face.

My hair is totally drenched like I just took a shower.

Some nights, they are a little lighter.

I also notice I sweat profusely now with any exertion;p never used to be taht way.

My sweats are heavy and light.

They were heavy before treatment (Bart) to the point where I'd sweat profusely and have sweat dripping down my legs and back when I'd wake up and could feel the sweat trickling off and the bed sheets would be extremely wet.

Since being on Bart treatment, I haven't sweated THAT bad for quite a while. I still sweat sometimes, enough that my shirt is damp and the bed sheets are damp, but not to the point where sweat is dripping off me or the bed sheets are soaked.

I am trying to figure out if this is Babs as well. I also, during the day, have hot flashes AND chills. [dizzy]

When I had acute babs, I would soak through my cloathes day and night. After treatment I still had the sweats but not as bad.

Since I have treated bart for the past 2 months, my sweats have decreased by half. They are also much lighter and less frequent.

Even my llmd mentioned to me that the sweats are either from bart or babs, so who really knows. It is another mystery in the disease.

Feel better.

My sweat range to none, to damp, to soaking the sheets and pillows and pooling on my chect and neck.

I do notice it is worse when I skip a dose of abx.

I test only pos or Lyme. I have fevers everyday.

Who knows.

I just recetnly started treatment for Babs, and one of my symptoms is night sweats. Not very often though, and they have ranged from lightly sweaty to sweat dripping off my body. I wake up cold.

Are you having any other Babs type symptoms? Neck and upper back stiffness is common...

What does the doc think? Have you called and asked them?
