Hey guys I am 23 and having some really bad woman problems. I have always been irregular but recently I have had my period like every 2 weeks. Very painful pelvic pain.
I am unable to have sex at all. Severe pain during sex and after sex -that pain sometimes lasts to the next day. I am also getting this dark brown heavy discharge.
I year ago I did have a cyst when they did a ultrasound.
Could this be PCOS? Endometerios? Could anyone please help me figure out what I should do? I am really worried My doc said - go on BC to regulate but I was on BC for years and I don't want to again. THANKS AGAIN ! Heather

I'm having similar issues, and my gyn has me on a diary of charting my symptoms. She actually disagrees about BC...says she doesn't want anymore chemicals in my body unless its determined that they are needed.
You may want to talk to your gyn about getting another ultrasound done and also endometriosis.

hey heather
Pain durning intercourse and irregular periods can be a sign of cervical problems. When was you last pap?
I hope you go to a good gyn ASAP .
Take care
make sure to talk over everything first with your LLMD

An ovarian cyst, if large enough, can cause pain during intercourse. I have ovarian cysts and they check it with ultrasound at least once a year. Some docs check more often, but mine doesn't cause any problems, so I don't go more often than once per year. I don't take BC pills since they can cause even more problems.
Also, a "dark brown heavy discharge" is not normal. You need to go to your OB/Gyn or Gyn to discuss both issues with him/her.

Thanks girls . . . I guess I will be back at the doc.
I just got back from there from my annual and my gyn told me not to worry about anything so we will see what happens.
