WHile I have been posting with all of the symptoms on this board and not my husband...
one day I showed my husband to remind him of my rash off of a website. He said I had a huge one under my arm like that
I then vaguely remembered this and so did my family
he had a severe depression over the last few years, total lack of libido, anger. add that to me not feeling well and you can see what a pleasant few years we had!however, until last month mine seemed to have gone into a remission of sorts
and my husbands moods have improved
baisically, is it possible to have lyme with only mental symptoms??? he does have aches and pains but thinks they are normal for him.. no joint pain. He did have a VERY LOw temperature 96.9 last night. which surprised both of us, he agreed to get tested but how likely
is it that he could have it presenting that way???

Also,in the last few years just prior to all of this we embarked on a total house renovation on our antique home
I unwittingly exposed a whole in the siding while making sure we still had clapboards under the siding that had been put on top
before long we had rats in the basement but they found a way upstairs(OUR HOUSE IS/WAS CLEAN) they are gone of course-I know rats are related to anaplasma erlichiosis something or other....
it seems I got a case of viral conjunctivitis not terribly long after that--then a few years later the joint problems etc and then my husband's personality changed
there must have been some time lapse though in order for us to not have made a quick connection
do not know if this has anything to do with this or not....
I do not want to just be grasping.. However it would make the last few years a lot of sense!!! which is a relief

Has he ever been on a round of antibiotics, like Doxy?
Guess that's one way to find out.
Maybe you know this, but Lyme can be the straw that breaks the proverbial camel's back.
Looking back over my life, I know now that I had systemic candidiasis going on pre tick bite. Post tick bite, I tore down an old building and added black mold and Lord knows what else.
I was ill for the 3 years following the tick bite but didn't "crash" until then.
A soup of bacteria, virus, fungus...
Immune system overload!
