These symptoms all started about one month after I fell ill.

At beginning, I couldn't tolerate them especially when I wore gloves and shoes or my palms/soles were pressed by walking, standing or using computer.

Now after over half of a year, The symptoms still persist although bearable: hot, numb and painful palms and soles;

the parts of my palms would become red and painfull when they are pressed by using computer or holding a book.

But it seems they are healing (very very slow) by themselves not touched by any medicine I took for Bbs, Bart. and Babesia.

My question is what infection(s) contributes to these symptoms?

Who else also have this? I was wondering if these are symptoms of tick-borne-deseases.

I am in dark.

Please give me some light. Thanks.

Dave.

You might want to look for heavy metal toxicity and for chemical toxicity. Read some of my posts.

Heavy metals and microbial infections go hand in hand. All of Dr. K. patients affected by Lyme ---all of them also had to treat for heavy metal toxicity before they started to have a chance to improve or get well.

Most people on this board think I am nuts - but so be it!

Take care.

Thanks GiGi.

This is definitely another avenue to look into while I am lost in the dark.

Best regards.

Painful soles for me and many others is a sign of coinfection with Bartonella.

I also agree with GiGi's comments above and have been working on the metal aspect for a year now. It is important, as are parasites and many other things.

Gigi and Scott are both correct as I'd lean towards toxicity and bartonella. Bart is notorious for sole pain.

I agree it could be bartonella.

Are you taking flagyl? It can cause neuropathy.

Hiya Dave,

I know exactly what you are experiencing, as I am currently experiencing the same thing myself. I have been mystefied as to the pain in the hands though.

I do have Bartonella, a nice raging case of it, and have the foot pain, but I don't know that it is Bart that causes this strange, extremely localised pain in the hands and palms for me. The pain in the hands feels different than the foot pain I attribute to bart. But it could be Bart.

But I still want to know how, i.e. by what mechanism, is this pain caused by the Bart then? Does it affect circulation? Is it neurological pain? Mishapen red blood cells having a hard time getting through to the extremities?

I think Gigi brings up excellent advice. I agree 100 percent with that! However, I have done numerous cleanses for parasites, heavy metals, intestinal cleanses, liver cleanses, general detox...I have been cleansing up a storm the past few years to treat all of that and I still have this extreme pain in hands and feet.

So my conclusion is that while taking care of heavy metal detox, etc. is great, it has not helped my hand and foot pain one bit. And I don't know why. Hand pain has gotten slightly worse on treatment for Bart, but only slightly. Not enough for me to totally believe it's just the Bart.

When my acute Lyme started after a car accident, I first noticed a tingling in my fingers and some months after that it developed into the full blown pain. I have posted before about this, and haven't really found an answer that feels right that is specifically about the hands.

A neurologist told me at the beginning that these symptoms (tingling in outside 2 fingers and tongue developing into the full blown pain like you describe) were almost identical to being poisoned, so maybe it is a toxicity issue that I haven't resolved yet. I can't rule that out.

Your description of the pain has come the closest to describing what I feel in my hands. It is nice to hear that I am not the only one going through this. I just wish I knew of something to make it feel better because hands and feet are oddly the places where I have the most pain.

Hope that helps,

Alison

Hi Dave6002,

I know exactly what you mean sole/palm pain!
I have had this since infection Sep 02. Fingers, toes, tops of hands and tops of feet don't hurt at all.

No one has heard of this, not even LLMD. You are the first person I've encountered to have same type of pain.

The only relief I get is from microwaved corn bags on feet but this does not work for hands at all.

Have been treated total 14 mos abx for Lyme & Babs. The pain in soles/palms decreased some but has lately increased to high levels again.

Several other posters have said BART !! so I guess I will see LLMD about this.

Thanks Dave for letting me know I'm not the only one with this weird symptom.

It's a big relief knowing that I am not alone and the culpit could be the Bart.

Thanks Alison and Mary for letting me know we are on the same boat and please keep me posted if you have any progress.

Thanks Scott, NP, Lymetoo, Dana (for the links also) and WildCondor for pointing this culpit to Bartonella.

Whenever I was in the dark, you guys always can point a way for me to get out the dark: first Lyme, then Babesia, now Bartonella.

I owe you guys a lot.

Thank you deeply.

Dave
