..... The confusion is nothing new...my Dr.is out of town for a bit,we'll be calling the associate Thur. I've been reading about the tests but still am not sure what is up.
Here are the results w/ urging to retest or test w/ another method in 4 to 6 wks.
Hope it is making sense here, I am not sure what to make of these tests, and we don't have much money to work w/ right now.
Remebering also that I had White Matter lesions on the brain,w/ my recent MRI...Okay is this like Sero-negative Chronic Lyme? My understanding is it is still going to need treatment?!
Can anyone help??? Anybody elses first tests come up simular??? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

With those test results and the white focal matter lesions and any other symptoms you may be exhibiting, I'd treat it.

I am going to get treatment, if I can't get it thru 'Team NN' in Utah, [which I am pretty sure they'll continue to help],we have a possible 2nd opinion who would help.
Even our kindly Dr.Duck is curious, especially about the positive, starred, clinically significant #34+ .He didn't want to interfere w/ my Teams treatment, but is interested.
Am wondering,if I understood My ND right, that when it is like this it's the sero-negative? We were hoping a CDC positve would occur for the insurance help.
We'll figure out something treatment wise, I'm fed up w/ being so miserabley weak and tired. ANd we are very suspicious my Hubby TxCoord has it as well.
<<<<< NP40 >>>>> Thank You for your response,I sure appreciate it!!! Jus' the Silverwolf a wandering!!!

I would be willing to bet that after several weeks of more abx, that the test will turn positive. The die-off of the keets will make more antibodies available in your blood.
The starred bands are VERY significant! Be sure to read this in its entirety:
"Many would say the " +/-" equivocal [or "IND"] bands are not significant. The problem I have with that, is that there are "-" negative bands. The lab has no trouble calling some bands negative. So they must be seeing something when they put "+/-" at some bands.
The only thing that makes sense, is that there is a little bit of that antibody present in your serum. If the "+/-" equivocal is reported on the borrelia associated bands, it is usually significant, in my clinical experience. This is a strong clue that I am on the right track.
Instead of ignoring these, they should be a red flag to keep pursuing a laboratory diagnosis. Giving patients 4 weeks of antibiotics (usually tetracycline, 500 mg, 3 times a day), will convert a negative or equivocal Western blot to positive in about 36% of cases.
As mentioned, if these positive blots are found by specialty labs, over 99% of those patients will respond to antibiotics."
"The significant antibodies, in my opinion, are the 18, 23-25, 28, 30, 31, 34, 39, 58, 66 and 93."

PS...It is usually suggested that the patient go OFF abx for the two weeks prior to the WB test.

Hiya Wolf.
There you go.
This is a significant test result, 'specially in light of your symptoms, unless a'couse your symptoms point to some other malady, which yer doctor would presumably figger out.
**31 "" IND ..... \31 IND **34 "" + ..... \34 IND **39 "" IND ..... \39 - **41 "" IND ..... \41 IND
Likely a course of antibiotics, then stopping and testing again, would bring out a slew o'buggers and a more positive test. However, these results are positive enough, in correlation with symptoms suggestive of lyme, for most any LLMD walkin around.
Now, let's hope you start getting better soon!
