I took one capsule of oil of oregano while off abx and trying to de-yeast and had a big time neuro herx..felt just like when I was on vanco/tind. I was also gonna try garlic. Wha is good to de- yeast that is easy on the guts/stomach? Also how do u know if your liver is overloaded. Gonna have it checked to be sure it is ok and thats not wherethe problem lies. Thanks.

Amberlin, I have been using Threelac. I started VERY slowly because I can get bigtime die off. I also used Sarcho...boulardi (Allergy REsearch) - sorry, can't remember the spelling.

It did a great job on the candida at the time - again, I would split the capsule open and sprinkle half on food - ramping up very slowly. Some good die off.

Once I took one extra capsule and had some bad nausea and runs for two days but you can take it easy with the dosing. With your reaction to oregano I would say to be very cautious.

I did the liver testing through genova (I think it was) and it showed fast phase 1 and slow phase 2. I did Buhner's hep C protocol for about 2 months in lower doses.

Now I am using a transdermal (from springboard4health.com) to help the liver and it looks like it is going very well along with Bioresonance therapy for liver and kidneys along with metals and stuff. Good luck.

I heard a herbalist say that oil of oregano is very strong and should only be used while under the care of a herbalist or health care practitioner of some sort. I heard the same thing goes for grapefruit seed extract. A friend was using the gse on their own and actually made their yeast worse by accident and then had to take meds for it. The herbalist has a radio show you can listen to online at KPFA FM - The Herbal Highway (every Thursday). You can sometimes call in and ask questions too.

I find the best way of finding out how my liver is really doing because nothing shows up when I get my liver panels done is to ask my acupuncturist. He can tell by my pulses.
