I was bit this past june, got dx'd in Sept. My LLMD told me I would need 4 mos of tx-seems short from what I'm reading here. Anyone have any thoughts. By the way, if I hadn't stumbled on this board, I'd still be running from cardiologist to neurologist to...thanks to all of you

You might get well in 4 months. It all depends upon how quickly it spread through your body. You've caught it relatively early!

Just be sure to be symptom-FREE for 2 months before getting off the meds.

If you want to speed up your recovery, then go on the sugar free, low carb diet.

Genevive-are you seeing a LLMD? I've been on tx 1 month now, am and still having major problems, esp with my BP. I started with IV right away, although that's not usually the standard of care, but my bp was getting really low. I have a feeling I will be on them longer-hope we both feel better soon

yes, i saw one in december, unfortunately, it didn't work out, so another one in january.

she's been prescribing meds since then.

biaxin -- hallucinations, nightmares
flagyl - blurry vision, erractic heart beat
amoxycillian -- irregular heartbeat, no improvement of symptoms

so she put me on cipro. however, i got strep and the primary switched me to ceftin.

she had stopped the cipro just a couple of weeks ago due to systemic yeast problem.

Were they reactions to the meds or herx"s-I got really sick when I started Doxy. My eyes got really blurry too, but I stuck it out, they are better now. Are you taking a good probiotic-this disease is really tough
