Boy this has been an interesting abx that appears to be doing its job(flagyl) .Even though I have not taken another dose since yesterday,Im still feeling the effects----strong burning head-neck ache --- breast pain---- joints, muscles burning and aching--- Now as if this hasnt been enough of a party, these shooting stabbing pains are developing radiating down from deep in my hips along with arms feeling this as well.Im keeping you all updated as I want to keep hearing from others that these are common herx symptoms and to reasure myself to keep going-----even if it is slow and steady. Can anyone else relate to the new shooting stabbing pains?RG

I can relate. I had really bad stabbing, shooting pains in my arms. I had to walk with my arms still for over a year because moving my arms set off such bad nerve pain. Much better now.

The shooting stabbing pains I felt were almost unbearably tough sometimes, so I can definitely relate to what you're experiencing.

Like hats, those pains have mostly subsided, but they were pretty awful for about 9 months.

For me, acupuncture would help them quite a bit, though I know it can be hard to find a good acupuncturist...

Since it's nerve pain, though, I didn't find anything topical that would work. For awhile I took a non-narcotic pain relever. I haven't had to do that, though, in quite a few months.

Hang in there...I know it's rough!

Radio girl...

you would have gotten these types of pains without flagyl as I did pre flagyl treatments...

However having said that,,,why did you halt your flagyl?
Are you pulsing? Are you also taking a chete killer?
I believe the cysts like to form on the nerves themselves among other places...

When you bust them over the head with flagyl and they drop off the nerve sheathing there is a hole created where they once were...

Thus acute pain like when the dentist drills into a tooth nerve(sorry doc dave).....

Hi,

i'm on day 10 of 250mg 3 x day tinamax and 500mg ciftin 2xday. I also am having burning pain in my wrist joints, ankles, right knee, neck, feet and head (at the back of head)

No kind of pain killers touch it. Doc says lots of die off. Day 1-5 I was so, so, so tired I felt like i could sleep for ever. (it felt good to be able to sleep that much.

Im disappointed, I thought I would get a feel good from day 7-10. I only had relief for about 10 hours.

I did a hot soak in epsen salts last night and that did help my knee and muscle stiff ness.
also i take soma before i go to bed. I think that helps a little.
