I hope you are well and happy! I wanted to remind you that you need to follow through your program, whatever it may be, and be determined to succeed. Many of us have different issues to deal with along this long road to recovery.
Some may have certain illnesses that others do not, so dont give up or feel down if your own recovery may be slower than others, just hang in there, you will recover! There are many medical conditions that a person could have along with Lyme, so dont sweat it!
I have seen first hand what these conditions can do to a person, mentally, emotionally, physically, it can be extremely sad to witness. People, both men and women, breaking down, losing the grip of sanity, they feel like giving up all hope.
This is not the way to turn. This takes time, (a lot of time)! Even when you feel you are making strides, keep following your plan, whatever it may be, dont give up! Keep trying different things if you must, but keep trying!
Many people have made huge strides only to fall backwards again and become ill, worse than before, so dont give up, follow your plan at all costs! Just track your success, not others, you are you, and you need to focus on your recovery habits to notice what is working and what is not.
Yes, it is good to learn from others, do that, but focus on yourself, your own plan, doing whatever it takes to become well. Those who choose to hurt your feelings in anyway, leave them, and move on, dont carry the dead weight of insults, your already ill, right?
If you dont have a good Dr, then find one, the resources are here. If you choose to to do nothing, or make up your own plan without medical direction, you may sink deeper into the abyss.
There is a brighter tomorrow for all of you, and it begins with a bright today! Lyme enters your body and makes you ill, you decide if you will recover, not the Lyme! The hills will be many, and at times they will seem like mountains, forever stretching into the heavens, but you will reach the top in triumphet glory!
Lean on a shoulder when needed, cry to show your strength, laugh to purge your demons, but never give in to the monster of self defeat, you are better than that, you are! I have lived through a dark time, where an enemy that dwells within me has declared war on my being. I have seen many battles, as you have, and will continue to, but the end is near for the monster, you will be victorious in all your efforts to regain the blessings of good health.
Q. What did you do with your life before you became ill? Q. What will you do with your life after you recover from this disease? Q. If you did barely anything for mankind before your illness, will you have suffered enough to change your heart?
Focus 20% on the problem, and 80% on the solution! Dont get caught up in the hype of Lyme. Do get caught up in the hype to cure it!
You may think you are one person, and what can you do....Well, what is the one person who has typed this post doing to all who read it? Making a change in your heart, soul. When the road becomes long, and the hills too high, and the waters too deep, just remember that you, and you alone in your own life, are making strides to better mankind, our earth, and our future!

I have seen the light of the cure.
After readng your post, I see more lights and feel much better.
We do need encouragement during the war against Lyme, and it is equally important as the medicine, if not greater.
Thanks for the writing and write more in the future.
I remember that you used to be very ill.
So I am very happy that now you are getting better.
Keep making progress and happy recovery.

Hi Rob,
I went out tonight (yes, a night out of socializing - that alone has lifted my spirits immensely) and am even happier to come home and read your inspiring, articulate, motivating message.
As you know, I've been going through a backslide lately with my own health and now the concerns about my family's health.
When I first started Lyme treatment, I responded so well I thought I would be one of my LLMD's star cases! Then so much went wrong.
You beautifully articulated the rollercoaster ride that many of us experience. It is good to be reminded of the long-term goal, and not focus so much on the fluctuations. And as you say, we can learn extraordinary things from one another yet should not measure our own progress and victories against each other.
And as you said, many of us have other diseases in combo with Lyme. I already had years of experience with chronic illnesses and thought they had made me a more spiritual and compassionate person. But nothing seems to compare with Lyme for making me reach deeper.
I sense from your post that you've had an epiphany of some sort. You sound cheerful, optimistic, in control. I'm really happy for you.
Thanks for some good news. I know most of us turn to Lymenet and one another when we are scared and confused. I'm glad you took the time to use this forum to brighten our day.
Take care, Jill

I just want to say thank you from the very bottom of my heart for being a light among my darkness right now.
I am just getting started figuring out which paths I need to take to get better. I also know that I have a long road ahead of me with many unknowns, yet, like you said, there is that hope, which must be clung to.
I'm going to print your post and save it for future reference, so that I can read it again, when I need a well needed reminder.
Thank you so much for such an uplifting message! It couldn't have come at a better time!
Love, Light, & Health, Jennie

Thx, Rob, your words made me cry! You are definitely giving Lyme therapy here! It's easy to feel like we're losing the battle, so to try to think the opposite is in itself a victory.

Hi All,
Focus on God...Not your problem! Focus on the good in life....Not the bad in your life! Focus on how you can heal others...Not on how you will be healed! Cry for others who suffer...Laugh at your sufferings! Be strong in your fight to aid the world in its hour of need...Not worrying about who will aid you! By doing these things, you will recover more quicker than you can amagine!
