Hey everyone..
I was diagnosed & treated 7/05 after developing the rash & flu-like symptoms. I've since developed neurological and arthritic symptoms. I see my first LLMD in 2 weeks. I understand nausea and vomiting can be part of all this mess. I've had, off and on, pretty severe pain behind my neck for a few months, but this week had strange bouts of morning vomiting with this pain. Didn't have nausea, just 2 mornings of unexpected sudden vomiting. My question is whether or not this is pretty typical or something I should be alarmed about and call my primary doctor with? Right now I'm stuck between my family doctor referring me off to see someone else for treatment and waiting to see the LLMD for the 1st time. Any thoughts?
Kelly

Do you have headaches or increased sensitivity to light or really bad mental confusion?

Hard to tell from your description if this is G.I. or gallbladder related or possibly something more serious such as encephalitis.

It is always better to call the doc and be safe if the symptoms are too severe.

What meds are you on if any?

Bea,
I have been having headaches but not the light

sensitivity. Visual problems developed last week

with floaters. I'm not on any meds right. It was

very unusual for me because it was first thing in

the morning and didn't come and go in waves like

a typical stomach virus. And it gave me no warning.

It's so hard not to think everything that now happens to me is somehow related to the Lymes. Whatever is was those 2 days, it's gone for now. Maybe it was something unrelated. These spirochetes are so strange with the symptoms coming and going. I think that is one of the reasons it took me several months to see my doctor, plus the fact that so many of the body's systems get involved, I couldn't relate them as having one source as the problem.

Nauea & vomiting is listed as a symptom of lyme along with your other symptoms I am glad you are going to a LLMD soon.

It wouldn't hurt to be seen by a reg GP or a GI duck in the mean time if your nausea & vomiting continue. I recently went to a GI duck & had a scope & found out I had erosions in my GI tract-

None of this is medical advise, just my personal opinion.
