I am looking to speak to someone or hear from someone who has small children suffering from lyme. I have a 2.5 years old who was on abx for ear infection for 10 days and day 11 he came down with massive fever. He is not feeling well he says and he complaints that his head hurts. He looks pale and don't have much energy.

Help anyone. Could this be herx. Maybe I gave him lyme when I was pregnant with him.

Hi. As a mother of two young children with Lyme,

One most probably congenital...

I hate to say yes you could have unknowingly passed bb to your child.

Co-infections can be passed this way too.

Is it possible that your baby has a virus...something viral

And not bacterial? Antibiotics would not help a viral infection.

Did they do a CBC to see?

It could be a herx....has the baby had any other symptoms?

My son, who I am sure is congenital had obscure issues

Like difficulty breathing at birth, a hole in his heart,

His pinnas on his ears would turn red, failure to meet physical developmental milestones

Within the "normal" age range...

Please PM me if I can be of any help.

May want to discuss this with your LLMD and maybe get the baby tested

Via Igenex....May give you a clearer picture.

Hang in there Mom.

Hugs,

Geneal
