Does anyone know, do they automatically test for co-infections when they do the Lyme test? I've read on this site that Babesia can commonly cause severe headaches which I have, but just assumed they tested me for co-infections as well at the time they tested me for Lyme.

If the Lyme test was run through Igenex, Co-infects testing would be a seperate order. That would be another panel.
Get copies of your results and post them here.

Thanks, I will do that. I just can't believe that in Connecticut with rampant Lyme disease, they would not automatically test everyone for co-infections. i will call tomorrow.

I agree. They should. However, there is a cost associated with doing so and most of healthcare these days is driven by $$$.
I still find energetic testing to be the most reliable - ART or EAV.
In my case, it tooks 3-4 tests and 8 months or more before my Babesia test showed positive and this was only AFTER treating empirically with Mepron.

Do you have a lyme literate dr...
None of the other bozos ever tested me....
I am not sure most of them even knew that coinfections even exist.
And lyme is rampant round these parts too (south jersey)
They have to give you your results if you ask for a copy.
Igenex would be the best place to get a coinfection panel ran.
