My ex husband has been on pain meds for a very long time. He's curently taking Fentanyl patches and Fentanyl suckers. He does have lyme FYI.
10 years ago he was diagnosed with Hep C. Liver function test were always normal. In the last few months his LFT tests are elavated. Currently he's not treating his lyme.
Is it possible to look loaded when taking pain meds if your liver isn't functioning properly?
We're in a big court battle over our children. I continue to argue the fact that he looks loopy at times. He denies taking too much and blames this on the liver.

He might need another pain medication. I know you are dealing with a custody issue here, but if it is the metabolism issue, then he may actually be putting his health at risk.
