As I've gotten sicker, I've started having daily chest pain which is lessoned by high dose CoQ10, which is difficult to afford.

I've tried Physiologics, Source Naturals, and Country Life MaxiSorb.

Any feedback? Thanks!

the best co=q10 is mixed with a saturated fat, imo, which is based on one cardiology abstract that claimed the got their desired results(whatever they were) when they mixed powdered co-10 w/ coconut oil, and that they did not get the desired results when co-q10 was taken other forms these guys studied, whatever they were.see abstract for comaparison.

best i recall, they said their reasoning had to do with the fat being saturated fat.
theres probably other oils, that will yield the same/similar results.

based on the idea of a saturated fat then, even lard, or bacon grease(?) would do the same job.
palm oil contains palmitic acid, a saturated fatty acid, and in addition,is a source, probably for teh largest amount of natural vitamin e.

the cardiology abstract is probably in pubmed

good luck

There was a recent discussion called "CoQ10 looks to be too low." Towards the end of the discussion several people post their favorite forms of CoQ10 and where to purchase them.

It was started by Marnie,yesterday?

CoQ10 comes in gelatin capsules (like vitamin E does) and contains either soybean oil or rice bran oil.

CoQ10 is an enzyme.

There are a LOT (!!!) of nutrients in soybean oil and/or rice bran oil that are vital to get back into the cells.

I just wish it wasn't so darned expensive because it looks like a LOT is needed

AND...I wish I knew a source to "trust"...does the bottle REALLY contain 200mg/300mg...?

The supplement industry is not regulated.

We get ours at GNC and cross our fingers.

I don't buy much else there, but go to a nutrition/health food store instead.

I trust Metagenics, Pharmanex, Carlsons...

My LLMD tests, it seems every supplement out there, for effectivieness and purity.

He is currently recommending Coenzyme Q10 from ARG with rice bran oil

I am allergic to rice, so I take a powdered capsule from Bio-Tech. The powdered form without fat/oil is not as readily absorbed.

So, I make some warm some water, put a bit of healthy oil and then sprinkle the contents of the capsule on the oil.

Ok...just wanted to make sure which one you were advocating. I didn't notice they were all the same brand.

For years, I bought the brand at WalMart. Couldn't have been "too bad" for me!

After I found the Twinlab at a reasonable price, I bought that.
