It depends on the child's weight. My son weighs 30kg (age 9) and he's on amoxil 500mg tds, azithromycin 5mls (200mg) daily, metronidazole 250mg bd for 3 days each week. Omnicef is an alternative to amoxil and metronidazole but I can't get that in UK. Good luck.
