Everybody needs to send TC a coupon for Boston Market. She got special permission for us to eat on the bus-so she called ahead to a Boston Market on the way home and ordered food for all of us on the bus.
She even called the restaurant back to let them know we would be a little later than expected since we missed the exit. Fortunatley an Angel from the back of the bus who knew the area came forward to give the driver the low down on how to get us back on track and headed in the right direction.
As the rest of us settled in with warm plates of chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy on our laps, Tincup was making her way up the aisle to make sure we were all taken care of when the driver took a hard right hand turn-and yup-her plate flipped off the ledge and landed upside down on the upholstered seat. :>(
I think we are going to have to use a different bus company next time. _____________________________________________
2 hours and 79 minutes-that was Tincup's mantra for the ride up. Just like a car load of kids whenever somebody asked her "how much longer", of course she didn't have a clue-but she always had an answer- 2 hours and 79 minutes. _____________________________________________
I met Dr. Wiseass-in her lyme green cowboy hat and lyme green cowboy boots! She might have been limping a bit by the end of the afternoon-but she still flashed a busload of admirerers with her signature wiggle butt. _____________________________________________
LymeMomTooo was the social director on the bus. I felt like I was at a Tupperware Party-when she handed out a questionaire designed for us to all get to know each other a little better. (No question-her heart's in the right place)
One rider-and that's a big clue-had a job that won as the most unusual award- unfortunately I can't describe it in an open forum, but I think it should have won the most EWWWWWWWWWWWW award. But I guess if you own a horse-somebody's got to do it. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW You'll have to pm LMT if you're curious. _____________________________________________
One final note-there were many terrific signs at the protest. But the most poignant and to the point sign was held by a young child. It read:

It's after midnight. I've had 2 hours sleep in the past 48 hours.
And for some strange reason... I STILL think you are funny. You made ME laugh.. after a LONG day.
Even though the bus left me behind.. the only answer I had for everyone's questions was, "2 hours and 79 minutes" (you're right!)... and my greatest accomplishment was not breaking my ankle everytime I tripped on the rough ground with holes here and there... I STILL had fun. Glad you were there!
Thanks for making me look even MORE dense than I feel! You always have a special way to do that!

Hey- I thought it was a game of strip poker going on in the back of the bus-but maybe they were just checking for ticks.

This was fun to read...until I my heart sank re: the poster the child held up.
That is what it was all about.

KAM- I agree-it was a real reality check for me,too-put it all in perspective.
Which is why we have to keep trying to figure out what's going to bust the Wormser CYST.
