It not the joints or the muscles, it's just an all over ache and buzzing feeling that makes it hard to stand or walk around.

Anyone have any suggestions for relief?

Hi nancyf723

I get this worse when I am herxing. I haven't found much to treat the whole body aches but continued treatment along the way for lyme & the co's...

Some things that make samll difference's are warm soaks in the tub with or without epson...but not too hot ...this can make it worse for me anyway.

Tylonal & ultram helps some. But I have to be careful the tylonal can be hard on the liver so not to take too much. The ultram helps more I think but tends to get me revived up as a side effect.

Also helps is a vibrator-Dr. Scolls from walmart. It has a long handle and a heat setting & can reach even in the back It can helps on isolated areas. Arms legs ect..

A mosit heating pad that I move around durning the day helps too. I alternate the mosit heating pad with a also have a pad-also from walmarts thats made from clay & I nuke it in the micro & stay warm for along time too.

sorry I couldn't be more helpful

hang in there [group hug]
Dana

Isn't that symptom supposedly bartonella related (I havent read that anywhere but here on Lymenet, so I have nothing to back that up).

oh, and I had that symptom so bad that I couldn't really walk very far for a year. Gained 15 pounds in the process.

Hi nancyf723,

My son would complain of pain in his legs and of his feet hurting him. That was one of his main complaints besides his headaches. It did keep him from wanting to run around, ride a bike and do things that most normal kids do.

Other than taking pain meds and epsom salt baths, the only thing that really helped him was being in treatment for Lyme and Babesia.

I hope this symptoms inproves for you soon, hang in there.

Bartonella does cause pain in the feet, but this could easily be from the Lyme or babs.

Mangosteen juice will help with the pain!

Hi,

My feet hurt so much I was ready to ask for a wheel chair.

My son had the same issue.

My whole family has lyme.

But when I went to my lyme dr, who said I had lyme and babs and put me on azithro and mepron and within 6 weeks my pain in my feet were 100% gone.

I was on that treatment for 3 months. Then the dr decided to change my medicine to mino and diflucan and I couldn't take them, made me feel aweful. So within 4 weeks of being off azithro and mepron, quess what? My feet hurt again.

So he put me on mepron again but its been 2 weeks and they still hurt. I am so nervous that they won't get better because I stopped before. I am praying this medicine will help once again.

Why the feet? So many lyme victims have this. I want to cry at points during the day. If I am not to tired to do things then my feet hurt and I can't walk. If I am tired and my feet don't hurt, I still can't do things because I am tired. Oh well. Some days I want to just give up.

My husbands family think we are depressed and need depression medicine. They just don't understand lyme. I can't deal with people who no matter how much you explain they just don't have the light bulb go off. They just don't understand.

What helps relieve the pain for me is ankle supports. The ones that are elastic, similar to ace bandages, but you slip on.

The constriction helps relieve my foot pain, and sometimes even pain higher in the leg.

I've heard that heel pain is one of those "if you have heel pain" there's a good chance you have Lyme?

Is it heel pain or simply foot pain that everyone has?

For me I could relate to having heel pain my entire life!

Hope all of you feel better.

I have swollen ankle joints, swollen knee joint and also lumps in my calves. My legs get really stiff and I have to jump in a hot shower all the time to get them to feel like there's any circulation.

Does anyone else have this going on? Does anyone have any science on what this is?

I noticed that drinking mangosteen juice can soften some of the lumps.

I have foot pain. It feels like the muscles in the bottom of my feet. Basically, it's what I imagine a food server feels after a double shift. Only I sometimes wake up with it.

When I have that pain, I often also have pain in other parts of my legs. The muscles of my calves and thighs and sometimes hip pain.

My vicodin does not hit this pain, which makes me think it's nerve pain. Even though it feels like the muscle.
