Hi out there, my situation is that I recently tested Igenex positive for both IGG and IGM on my Western Blot for Lyme. The IGM is also CDC POSITIVE, but the IGG is was CDC negative. I will be starting treatment soon and also testing for co-infections and getting a CD57 done.

My LLMD had me on Samento 3 weeks prior to testing (worked up to 10 drops 3 times daily ...two full weeks on max dose) I have stayed on the Samento even after the test results. I never herxed the whole time.

One time I tried 20 drops to see if I would herx .. nothing. My question is, theoretically if I have Lyme shouldn't I herx on this dose of Samento ? What if I try 30 drops at once (just to see) ?

Also, any thoughst out there on the "best" approach to this illness. I am a firm believer in the Hollistic approach, but I am not ruling out the use of ABX. What seems to be the common wisdom on this subject ? What do most people get the best results from ?

Please share from your experiences ... I am hungry for knowledge and want to make the best choices for my health !

Thank You

I did lots of detox stuff while on antibiotics and I didn't herx, just had slow gradual improvement in symptoms. I attribute some of this to low stress, good diet, and all the detoxificaiton- chlorella, bentonite, welchol, and more- but also not everyone herx from every single drug/herb out there. It doestn' mean it's not working if your symptoms improve.

i agree. this is an individual thing.

i never herxed much on drugs. and those that did make me herx, i couldn't take due to liver and kidney problems, so now i'm going herbal.

either way, treatment is a must.

The SAFEST bet is to go with antibiotics first. There will be others who disagree, but that's THEIR life, not yours.

I believe in using alternative meds, and I do use them. But I don't think I would be feeling as great as I do now without the abx initially.

Don't sell your health down the river.

Hi Tabers,

Which doctor did you see, that has got you off the abx for 8 months with no symptoms?

Best,

canbravelyme.
