I just wanted to start a post regarding how important it is to help Dr. Jones. We need to support him now. Every dollar counts. If everyone gave a small amount it would all add up. Below is a post from Ellen
Dr. Jones' Legal Defense Fund will be running out of money in the very near future. As some of you may know, the medical board has made additional charges against which Dr. Jones must now defend himself.
If Dr. J cannot afford a legal defense, then we can assume that he is far more likely to lose his case, which could mean losing his license to practice medicine.
We can't let that happen.
So one thing you can do is contribute whatever you can to Dr. Jones' Legal Defense Fund.
Only about 40 people showed up at his hearing yesterday. I haven't spoken to Dr. Jones, but I think we can all guess how discouraging that must be for him, as it would be for anyone. If we contribute as soon as possible, it will get the message to him that we support him at the same time as we make sure he gets a legal defense.
On the left hand side there is a link allowing you to contribute. It brings you to a page with paypal to contribute by credit card and an address if you want to make your contribution by check. Thanks all, Ellen

We are talking about a doctor who has took on children. Most llmd's wont touch a kid till there 16. Is there any psychiatric doctor that has looked at some of these children, and can help Dr.Jones. Surely someone can go on the stand and prove the manhelped there child. Even past patients, any way of contacting them.If there child is healthy now,you would think they would show up. This man could have quit his practice 20 years ago,now he is in trouble for helping someone. Wish i could do more. But before this happens again, the lyme community needs prepared for it. Where are all the lyme foundations? Are they doing anything?I dont know, just wondering.

Lymetoo, I would really like to encourage you and others to go to the Activism site regularly to see what action alerts are there. I know you do so much to help people with their day-to-day medical issues, but we are all done for if we don't keep our eyes open for what needs to happen for us to maintain access to adequate care and work diligently towards that end.

The Medical Review Board will not allow the parents of or the children he has helped to testify. it is a mockery of a trial with many injustices. From what I understand there were many who requested to be able to testify.
