Anyone heard of the new test from Bowen? This is not the QRIBb test. It's supposed to have a high sensitivity and specificity.

They should be announcing details soon from what I understand. At present, they are not releasing significant detail publically - though they will discuss with practitioners. As I understand, the new offering will not be "Bowen Labs" as I believe Bowen Labs has more or less closed down.

I am excited to see the results people get from the new test offering.

The new test is the IFA flow cytometry test.

I read that flow cytometry test is currently used for cancer testing. I haven't done any research on it...haven't had time.

Simple explanation: a flourescent dye stains the bacteria in your blood sample, then they use a microscope to count the glowing bacteria in your sample.

Supposedly this number will give an accurate reflection of your bacterial load and can be used to measure your response to treatment. It may be used to determine when to stop treatment.

There are other forms of Bb; this only measures those in your blood.
