Just checking in on the combination of Omnicef and Zith. Has anyone found success with this combination?

Hey H,

I've heard of folks using it and don't remember hearing any problems associated with it.

Sorry I can't speak to it personally... but maybe since I've posted it will bring the topic back up and others may see who have tried it in the past.

I'm on omnicef, zith and mepron. I only added the omnicef a week ago, so I don't know yet. My LLMD said it's a great combo and it will make the zith more effective.

Don't know if that helps you at all.

I am wondering if this combination is particularly helpful in treating Bart.

I've found Zithromax helpful.

I've taken Omnicef in the past and found it the most worthless drug ever. (Believe I took it with Plaquenil).

Perhaps the combination of the two is good.

New treatment: oral combination-Omnicef 300 mg 2x day and Zithromax 250 mg 2X day for 6 weeks to start.

Just put on this yesterday. Been on Omnicef for the last 8 weeks and saw some improvement. 4 weeks of doxy before that.

First time on a combination-will the herxing be worse? How about yeast-does it get worse? Anyother words of wisdom is welcome...

I was on this combo early last year and got well. however I relapsed late last year and this round IV hasn't yet helped much...

It's a good combo, ask for flagyl or tindamax to pulse and bust cyst forms.

I did this regimen and my doc also included Plaquenil. The Zith seemed like the one that made me feel sick. I felt much better after three months and continued with the limited Cowden herbs. It worked for me and I definitely recommend it.
