Hi Ya'll I just started taking Doxy today (200mg twice a day). I am also taking Buher's core herbs at almost max dose.
Any general advice regarding Doxy, or how and when I should take the herbs in relation to the ABX ?
Other warnings or things I should be awrae of ?
Also, is it pretty standard to start with Doxy alone and then add another type of ABX later ?

I did both and I think it was very good for me to combine both. One of the herbs (can't remember which, knotweed maybe) supposedly makes antibiotics work better, another one helps with antifungal properties as well.
My only problems were due to nausea and vomiting from Doxy (whether I took the herbs or not)- I learned quickly to not take them at the same time in case the Doxy made me vomit, since the Andrographis tastes TERRIBLE on the way back up.
I took eleuthero at the same time as I started antibiotics and I think it made me feel better quickly and probably somehow contributed to not herxing particularly when the killing off of bacteria started. I also did a lot of detox stuff (chlorella, bentonite, Welchol) at the beginning and that probably helped a lot too.

I started the herbs first. Then went to Tetracycline, THEN to Doxy.
Abx killed my stomach which was bad even before the herbs.
I did find this winter when taking some amoxycillin for Prostatitis, that IF I took it at least 1/2 hour BEFORE my meal WITH about 1/3 glass of skim milk, I could tolerate it a lot better.
THEN during my meal, between the main course and dessert, I take my herbs. I take them with a glass of half water, half juice, with Red Root tincture and Periwinkle tincture AND C-Salts mixed in. THIS concoction is what has made my stomach well. Mainly the C-salts is what did it.
