Hello everyone, my name is Francine and I am 29 years old. I have had symptoms of Lyme for the last 2 years. My doctors kept telling me I had Fibromyalgia. I have facial muscle spasms that make me look like I have Bell's Palsy and I get muscle spasms in my legs that make me unable to walk. These spasms are not always painful, but sometimes can be. I get this weird sensation in my spine that makes it difficult to concentrate. I could go on and on with more symptoms but I wanted to see if anyone else has had these symptoms. I am also searching for a LLMD in So. Cal area (San Bernardino County). Any info that you may have would be greatly appreciated.

!*)!*)!*)!)!*)!*)!*!)*!)*!)*!)*!*!!!!

Don't let anyone tell you there is no Lyme in CA- or only 2%!!! In a 2003 study they found 17.8% MIR (Minimmum Infection Rate) in ADULT ticks in SC County, CA. And you should be aware that most people with TBDs in CA have more than one- we have a few TB Diseases in CA including Bartonella "cat scratch fever" which was found to be a TBD a few years back- and Anaplasmosis which was formerly named Ehrlichiosis- there are 2 kinds- HGE and HME- and Babesiosis- WA1 strain. All of these can be blood negative!!!

A great SO Ca Lyme person is Barbara B at [email protected] She should be able to help you find help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
& she's super nice*)!*!
Welcome again,
Best wishes,

Hi Francine,

Fatigue has been a real big symptom for me. In a 'change my life' sort of way. I used to be very productive.

Very hard to explain to anyone... I couldn't even grasp it myself. Kept telling my self to 'buck up'.

I looked normal. Doctors thought chronic fatigue, depression.

The only doctor that believed me, and thought I was not just a head case, said "I know that you are not feeling well, but your just gonna have to have more symptoms."

Very frusterating.

I didn't ever get bell's paulsey in my face, but I did get it in my gut.

(both of spinal nerves, just have different numbers)

Yes, I think the feeling in your spine is related to confusion.

Mine was intermittent.
But, WHAMMO, out of no where I was totally confused and turned around.

I also felt that I couldn't close my eyes in the shower, because I would loose my balance.

I fell a few times. My legs worked great, then all the sudden just slip and fall. No big deal, didn't hurt, but weird to loose control.

Then there were other days that I would feel like I had to hold on to the cart at the grocery cart.

Good article on the brain/confusion.

francineg, welcome!!
those are very classic symptoms. Magnesium does help the spasms. I hope you read everything you can- you will need it. I'm very glad to hear you're looking for an llmd.
