I'm feeling very "why me" just now.

I'm so farking tired. I napped 3 hours today. And I've been resting since I woke up. Today I had to leave a funeral brunch early because it was that or put my head down on the table and fall asleep right there. At least I was awake for the burial.

I've been on doxy and nystatin for 7 weeks and at the present moment I feel as tired or more tired than I've ever been. The aches are bad, but not the worst. The stabbing pains are minimal, the headache is barely tolerable, but I sure don't feel any better, and I'm wondering if I feel worse.

I just wanna feel better. Waahhh!

Is this supposed to be happening? Why am I so tired.

Karen

California Lyme just posted this on another thread:

"Mike, my Herxing on Rocephin was SLEEP. WHen I went on Rocephin it knocked me out dead cold. I was ASLEEP 22 hours a day for most of that first 6 months. I am not joking. It was like narcolepsy, I was unable to stay awake, felt pulled down into sleep, felt drugged, felt UNABLE to stay awake/ And I got worse, or Herxed, with everything, agony increased, weakening inscreasd, I just got worse and worse until month 7- .."

Hope this eases your concern!

Karen,

If you have not taken anything to get rid of toxins, you must.

The antibiotics kill the bacteria which are too large to pass through the blood stream. They must decay and during this process they create toxins.

This causes more pain and sometimes causes new symptoms. Do not be discouraged. This is exactly what you want to happen. This tells you that your antibiotic is working. I had to stop antibiotics for a couple or even three days to get feeling better sometimes, but my Dr. says that is the way to go.

If you are not taking anything to rid your body of toxins the best thing I know of is Detox Max Plus I get it from my Dr., I haven't found it anywhere else.

You also need to get activated charcoal and take with extra virgin olive oil

Unheated raw honey with apple cider vinegar

extra vitamin C

Please don't be discouraged. You will be better soon.

I'll keep you in my prayers.

Hope you feel better soon.

Just to let you know....

I slept 12 hours at night then took 3 hour naps during the day for the first 4 months. Then it got better.

Now (2 years into treatment) I may take a nap once in a while on the weekends, but usually get 8-10 hours of sleep total. I also have alot more energy now then I used to.

Its tough but there is a light at the end of the tunnel... Hang in there!

Lisi

Karen, I don't have anything to add, just wanted to tell you I've been on the meds for about the same time as you and feel the same way. From what I hear, it gets worse before it gets better.

My LLMD has me on a lot of detox stuff, and I take activated charcoal at night when I wake up ... between the antibiotics, probiotics, vitamins and minerals, I just couldn't figure out when to take it during the daytime and have it be 2 hours away from everything else!

I also drink raw apple cider vinegar in water (sometimes lemon water, they both do the same thing). I think it helps.
