My husband took one pill of cat's claw on Thursday with his usual breakfast. He came home from work complaining of a severe sinus headache and his face hurt.

He took another pill with his breakfast today and went to work.

This morning he spilled his milk from his cereal and knocked over his Listerine on the cabinet. He still complained of a bad headache.

We believe he has lyme. He has never seen a doctor and has never had antibiotics but we thought cat's claw would be a good addition to his diet.

I'm very worried about him and don't want him to take any more.

My symptoms are bad. He's like the Energizer Bunny. He feels everything is just due to "old age" and live with it. I would have to fight tooth and nail to get him to a doctor. (This is a man who smashed his finger and drilled a hole in his fingernail with a dirty old drill from the garage. If I would have done that, I would have ended up in the ER with gangrene fighting for my life!!)

I say stop the cat's claw, what do you think?

I started getting like that with all medicine I'm taking. I had to stop everything and rethink this through. I feel a million times better when on nothing, but don't feel 100% when not.

He should see a LLMD and be tested for lyme. My husband also had the same reactions to Cats claw, and was tested after taking it..... and guess what.... Hes got it.

But he has to be willing to get himself tested and treated, some people will make excusses for their symptoms and brush them away as "age".

I have a girlfriend who complains about her symptoms continually (she has Crohns) and when she said to me "well I forget things because I'm getting old" (or whatever it may be) I just simply say to her.... "well I'm getting old too but those symptoms have reversed.... so am I getting younger?"

She usually has nothing to say after that.

Oh and to answer your question on "Stop the cats claw?"
Why, so he can get worse? At least he is treating it with the cats claw (somewhat) Everyone goes downhill when treating (herxing) But you will get much worse not treating. I am much better off now 2 years later then what I was before taking abx.

Good Luck,
Lisi

I get terrible headaches and muscle aches and depression on too much cats claw. I just take about 1/4 of the capsule now.

After the herx clears I always feel better.

Yes the cats claw causes a reaction if you indeed have Lyme, as it did with me.

I am taking a tinture of Cat's claw. You can control dose by counting drops to help start slow.
