I have just recieved the following article: "Belly fat may drive inflammatory processes associated with disease." The theory behing the article being that this particular type of obesity activates or exacerbates the inflammatory process, which is such a significant part of our preblem. My response to the person who sent me the article:
The question is how to get rid of it. I exercise like mad, have largely eleminated sugar _no I cannot give up ice cream and all deserts completely- and have taken-horrors- to putting splenda in my sweet tea-the house wine of the South-have cut down-but not eleminated rice, potatoes, bread, etc. And still the disgusting abdomen is there. it will not go away. It is hideous. It is revolting. I am also probably destroying my liver in the process.
You must understand that this has nothing to do with inflammation and everything to do with male ego and vanity. Have you ever been in a men's locker room? No, I am not a pretty sight. but one thing I despise is all these disgusting men with these overhangs down to their knees. The revolting abdomens are appalling. And the place has these mirrors which clearly show you the truth or just how nauseating you really are. Plus the locker room has this set of medical scales which are humiliatingly accurate. Painful.
I remarked to one lovely young thing-I should have known better-that I looked like a pregnant walrus. This cold eyed creature who no doubt had been trained to tell the truth-especially where men are involved- looked and men and remarked, "No, you don't! Your fat is in all the worng places." Devastating.
I swim a thousaand to 1200 yards three and four times a week, I walk 3-6 miles six days a week , I sometimes bicyle and still the gut is there like glue. And now you say liposuction does not work. Even if I took a samurai short sword and committed a juiced up version of hara kira it would not work. Sob. So I suppose I shall just have to forget it and go back to porking down the chocolate ice cream and the pastries I love so well. My chocolate pound cake is to die for!!!!!
These lyme people, doctors and all, just kill every joy. we are miserable from the burgdorferies and now what little joy is left is now taken away in the specious belief that this mess will be cured. Well I have been at it for years and am sick as a dog still. i have taken just about every pill and nostrum in the book and now am being killed to no purpose by these damned bicillin shots which hurt like forty hells. Believe me until you cannot get your billfold out of your back pocket because your hehind is so sore you can hardly move you haven't lived. Lovely. It is enough to make a strong man take to drink. I even broke down in the middle of cooking one of my chinese chicken dishes-which has sherry in it-and tonight downed a shot glass of sherry. IF you cant kill the microscopic pond scum maybe you can get them drunk and they will leave you alone. At least you may not feel so bad and or so guilty or so ugly and then you can go off and enjoy some chocolate ice cream. Cheers.
