Hi, Char here,

I am on at shizuko's house.

My 13yr old son, who has been taking Mepron 2tsp and 500 Zith for some time had a sharp, stabbing pain on his left side this morning. It was very quick.

This has happened on occasion; the LLMD thought it was constipation. He says he has been more on the loose (sorry) side last couple days.

I think he his fine, but I am worried about his liver and whether I should continue Mepron over the holiday. He really feels better on it and it is helping him so much.

I think it is a minor thing.

He has been doing physical therapy exercises diligently; so I guess it could be muscular, but
it shouldn't stab.

He used to get striking muscle pains, but these have not occured for about 8mos. at least.

Have any of you had this type of pain?

This weird stuff always happens on wkend or holiday!

Thanks,

Char

My son on a new cross-examination says he
thinks he bumped into the corner of the counter!

So never mind!

Hi char/shizuko,

I hope your son feels better.

I have had both, bumped into he corner of the counter many times, end of table. [Smile]

I also have had stabbing pains of left side, (on right side as well) enough to make me hit the floor, but I have had this stuff so many times through-out my life it is very hard for me to tell what it is.

For me, it can be gas pains, and also be related to the meds. (Or bumping corner. )I have had alot of digestion probelms with Malarone, Zithromax, on and off.

I take digestive enzymes now and it does help, along with coconut oil, gluten-free diet, olive leaf extract, whey protien shakes..etc.

I hope his pain does not come back..and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgivng as well. [Big Grin]

This is not medical advise only my personal experience....

Hi Char,

I'm glad there is an explanation for your son's pain. I can't tell you how many times I've bumped into furniture and things around the house. I'm always running to get the ice packs to prevent bruises.

If left-side pain does continue, remember, spleen is on the left, liver/gallbladder is on the right. Intestines (gas) etc. can affect many locations.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Jill

Hi All

Babs can cause sharp pains in rib cage area-

Stabing pain is a good discruption--

Caused by muscle tissue on rib cage-
(dont remember the medical name)

Left side is most common-
comes and goes-

Make sure your son takes mepron with
Fatty food-Super Important
-Makes mepron absorb Much Better-

I am sorry to hijack a post - I do have pain on my left side so it's why I looked at this - I can't figure out how to start a new post which I want to do.

I have LD and have a question but don'e know how to post it - I really have spent time trying to figure and I have posted a while back. What has changed?

As to pain on left side (keeping with the post I am hijacking) - spleen? When I have my really bad times it hurts there and I think it is my spleen reacting with overload of bacteria/kill-off depending where you are in cycle.

Hi Debbie,
(The board did change sometime in the last year.)

At the left top center & bottem left are buttons that say "post new topic". Just to the left of the one that says "post a reply".

I believe these are on the pages with thread titles for each category and also at the top and bottom of each thread you're reading.

I hope that helps.
I could be wrong. I'm telling you this from memory and you know how that can be? [Wink]

now, back to our regularly scheduled topic. [Big Grin]

I'm bring this back up as my daughter started mepron on friday. On saturday, she complained of a stabbing pain on her left side.

I didn't cut and paste here, but in doing research, it said that babesia affects the spleen. Those with an epstein barre titer will also have an affected spleen.

So, I'm thinking the spleen is working a little overtime.

Anyone else have this?

Kelly
