sorry, for those who are grossed out, please SOB!!
I have a couple questions for those who do coffee enemas for detox.
1. are you doing "high enemas"? is that preferable/more effective? and safe to do on your own and frequently? I'm finding conflicting info.
2. in all my reading on this, I can't find why boiling it in a pot is preferable to just making it in a coffee maker (mine is plastic with a glass container and I have organic, non-bleached filters, organic coffee and distilled water.)
anyone know why we cant use a coffee maker? I don't have a stainless steel or glass stove pot, so this would be the easiest for me.
thanks

Coffee enemas...fun! I used to do them and I just made it in a pot, and diluted it with water and held it in for 15 minutes! Be careful if you are sensitive to caffeine because it can whack you out pretty bad! LOL

I do coffe enemas and I feel great afterwards. I do not know if it is the caffeine though. My LLMD tells me to be careful not too charge up my adrenals too much. I do them 1-2 times a week now.
Use organic coffee, distilled or bottled water. My recipe says to add 2 tsp.s of coffee once the water boils and let it boil for 10 minutes. I was recently told to add a teaspoon of molasses to restore some of the good minerals which the coffee may be taking out.
Look at some posts on colonics, which go up higher. Gigi swore by them.

You can use your coffee maker, but you won't get the full effect of it because it passes through too quickly. Better to spend $10 on an inexpensive stainless pot at Walmart and do it right.
These are not meant for doing high enemas. They are suppose to stay in the last part of the colon. Don't do anything to try to get it up farther. Just stay on your back and retain it for 15 min.

hey guys, thanks for the input!
thanks for the explanation micul. ok, i think i'll buy the stainless steel pot. damn i was so excited to finally have a reason to use my coffee maker since i dont drink it anymore.
i'm still confused though about how high they should go
some recipes I have say they have to go higher than the lower colon to be effective and that the only potential problem is absorbing the caffeine into the bloodstream, but doesnt that happen anyway when you drink it?
personally, regular enemas never did anything for me and colonics are too expensive for me to do regularly. my dr thinks the coffee enemas will really help clear some of the toxins.
i'm gonna go dig up some of the info i found for anyone interested. if you have strong opinions on which recipe is better, please post. thanks!!

a couple of those are probably the same recipes. but I'm just confused why some say they have to be high enemas, and others say NO.

The directions I got were: 3 tablespoons organic coffee to 4 cps fitered water boiled 10 mins and simmered covered for 15 min. Strain it, but don't use a paper filter, b/c something important cannot pass through it.
Hold on one side for 5 min and the other for 5.
yummm molasses. sounds delicious.
