I think you mean hyperinsulinimia. Too much insulin which causes low blood sugar. Eating sweets causes a surge in insulin secretion. If too much is secreted the blood sugar gets too low. I used to have reactive hypoglycemia which was caused by eating sugar. My body would secrete too much insulin, more than I needed and my blood sugar would fall into the 40's. I nearly passed out a few times. I controlled mine by eating proteins instead of sweet carbs and it worked.

Check out The Schwarzbein Principle by Dr. Schwarzbein. She's an endocrinologist who started out with diabetic patients. She tried the ADA approved diet and her patients got worse. The high insulin, cholesterol, etc. is all part of hyperinsulemia. She eventually came up with a lower carbohydrate diet balanced with healthy fats and protein. She has in-depth discussions of cortisol and adrenal fatigue. Lots of interesting information.
