My blood pressure every so often increases for no apparent reason. My cardioligist has to add medication(s), or double up on some I am already taking. It's scary when it's very high, for obvious reasons.
Does anyone have or know someone with the same problem that has LD?
Thanks,
Armand

The overload of antibiotics, at times, will cause my blood pressure to go through the roof.

In fact, just last week, my nurse clocked it in at 137/113 (resting). [Eek!]

It always goes back to normal. A couple months ago, I had a full workup of my cardiovascular system, and as far as the non-LL Cardiologist could tell, nothing is wrong with the ol' ticker.

Hello Kings Park,

I am sorry you are sick.

I have Borreliosis (lyme) and was told that most of us have hypercoagulaton, thickening of the blood, because the dead bacteria have to decay to become small enough to pass through the blood stream.

I was told to take an 81 mg. asprin daily for this problem.

I hope I have been some help.

Sherry

Elevated BP is fairly common with Lyme.

http://www.lymediseaseaction.org.uk/symptoms.php

THe bp issue has been a puzzle for me. A month ago or so I was at a doctors appt. The nurse took my bp first thing and it was 165/96. When the doc saw me he was sort of concerned so he took it. It was 124/72 ten minutes later. Sometimes mine is high and sometimes very low. It seems to go in a pattern. Lately it has been around 115/56 resting. It has been has high as 167/108 at other times. I had a full cardio work up about six months ago with a halter and a stress echo. They said everything looked good.
