We have a PUR filter (best grade) in kitchen and bathrooms. It has served us well for many years.
Take care.

DMC: there is a big difference between a water filter and distilled water.
distilled water has no chemicals, minerals nothing in it. if put in a sterile jar it can be sterile water also. once jar is open the sterility is in question.
filtered water ie. Brita removes only certain chemicals that they designed to remove. with charcoal they can also improve taste. usually the filters removes, iron, chlorine, flourine, and other chemicals.
i do not think it is good for removal of heavy metal, ie lead in old houses, and may need reverse osmosis to revome these, but not sure.
distilled water is usually not used for drinking, but is used for irons, steam cleaners so that the iron doesn't clog the iron.
if you have heavy iron in your water, ir artesian water, you may want to have a professional filter placed before your hot water heater, rust will also corrode your hot water heater.

Thanks for posting this, Scott! This is the link I left open for my husband to see last winter. He had promised to buy me water filters for the showers for my birthday - in June. So I left up your link and I got them for Christmas. Better late than never.
